What this means
A profile is useful only while its facts stay current. This guide is a small routine for checking hours, contact details and links after setup.
A real-life example
A cafe changes its holiday hours and updates its menu page. The owner checks Google so customers do not arrive when the cafe is closed or open an old menu.

Step by step
1. Open your public listing.
Check the business name and location so you know you are reviewing the correct place. Keep the link somewhere you can find it again.
2. Check upcoming hours.
Look for holidays, closures and temporary changes. Use your profile account to submit accurate updates when needed.
3. Try the phone and website links.
Does the phone reach your business? Does the website or menu show current information on a phone?
4. Review new feedback and changes.
Read reviews and check whether your recent edits are accepted or still pending. Do not assume an edit is public immediately.
5. Add useful approved information when needed.
Use current photos or a factual update that helps customers. Do not add changes just to look busy.
6. Set the next check.
Write 'Check hours and links on [date]' and name the person responsible. Keep the owner account and recovery access under the business's control.
How you know it worked
The public facts have been checked, completed changes are recorded and the next check has an owner.
